With absolute poverty eliminated, China has created another "miracle" that will "go down in history," Xi said in a televised speech.

Huolala apologizes for the car jumping incident

Chinese Uber-like freight company Huolala made an announcement on Wednesday apologizing for the recent death of a 23-year-old woman. 

2月24日，网约货运公司“货拉拉”发布公告，为近日一名23岁女子的死亡事件致歉。

According to Huolala, the woman jumped out from the window of the passenger seat as the van driver was taking her to her new residence on the night of February 6. The woman eventually died after being sent to hospital and the driver was criminally detained.

货拉拉称，2月6日晚，货车司机在送该女子去新居时，该女子从副驾驶座的窗户跳车，被送往医院后最终身亡，司机已被刑事拘留。

Following several incidents involving female passengers during their rents of taxis, the discussion topics of this incident had been keeping in top places on the search trending list on Chinese social media for several days.

Chinese becomes an official language of the UNWTO

The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the Spanish government have officially announced that starting from January 25, 2021, Chinese has formally become an official language of the UNWTO.

联合国世界旅游组织和西班牙政府正式宣布，从2021年1月25日起，中文正式成为联合国世界旅游组织的官方语言。

The UNWTO is the world's most influential intergovernmental international tourism organization. It currently has 159 member states and is headquartered in Madrid, Spain, with Spain as its depositary government.

天问一号进入火星停泊轨道

Tianwen-1 enters Mars parking orbit

China's Mars probe, Tianwen-1, successfully completed its third braking at 6:29 a.m. BJT and entered the parking orbit around Mars on Wednesday, according to the China National Space Administration (CNSA).

据国家航天局消息，北京时间2月24日6时29分，我国的“天问一号”探测器成功实施第三次近火制动，进入火星停泊轨道。

The probe will undertake scientific explorations in the orbit for three months while its cameras and spectrometers check the pre-selected landing site and the weather to prepare for landing.
