Team China officially upgraded to bronze

Team China's bronze medal in the men's 4x100 meters relay at last year's Tokyo Olympics has officially been recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) after Team Great Britain were stripped of the silver over a doping violation.

国际奥委会19日宣布中国田径男子4x100米接力队递补获得东京奥运会铜牌。此前，英国队因违反反兴奋剂条例被剥夺银牌。

The IOC's executive board approved the reallocation of medals during Thursday night's meeting, with Team Canada moving up into the silver medal position.

The Chinese quartet of Su Bingtian, Xie Zhenye, Tang Xingqiang and Wu Zhiqiang posted a time of 37.79 seconds to finish behind Italy, Great Britain and Canada in Tokyo. However, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) had found that English sprinter Chijindu Ujah had committed an anti-doping rule violation and his team's result from the 4x100m relay had been disqualified.

First C919 jet to be delivered completes successful maiden test flight

The first C919 large passenger aircraft to be delivered completed a successful maiden test flight on Saturday, according to the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC).

据中国商飞公司消息，5月14日，即将交付的首架C919大飞机首次飞行试验圆满完成。

China's indigenously-developed jet, coded B-001J, took off at 6:52 a.m. from Shanghai Pudong International Airport and landed at the same site at 9:54 a.m.

14日6时52分，编号为B-001J的C919国产大飞机从上海浦东机场起飞，于9时54分安全降落。

During the flight that lasted three hours and two minutes, pilots and engineers coordinated to complete all designed operations, and the plane was in good condition, said COMAC.

中国商飞公司表示，在3小时2分钟的飞行中，试飞员与试飞工程师协调配合，完成了预定的各项任务，飞机状态及性能良好。

In March last year, China Eastern Airlines and COMAC signed a purchase contract for five C919 planes, which will be based mainly in Shanghai after delivery.

2021年3月1日，东航与中国商飞在上海签署C919采购合同。首批5架C919引进后，将以上海为主要基地。

Since 2019, six C919 jets have conducted a series of ground and flight tests in places such as Shanghai, Yanliang, Dongying and Nanchang. In November 2020, the C919 received its type inspection authorization.

A white, 18-year-old gunman allegedly carried out a racist attack at a supermarket in Buffalo, N.Y., on Saturday, killing 10 people and injuring three others, according to authorities. Almost all of the victims were Black. The suspect, who livestreamed the mass shooting, is believed to be the author of a screed posted online detailing his white supremacist ideologies and his plan to target a Black community in New York.

IE retirement

Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) is the last man standing in Microsoft’s line of IE browsers. Originally, Microsoft had planned to retire IE11 in 2025 but, last year, the firm announced the date had been brought forward to 2022 - 15 June, to be precise, which is only weeks away.

Microsoft is urging businesses using Internet Explorer 11 for legacy apps and websites to get ahead of the game and cull the app before it is retired on June 15, 2022.

The advice is for organizations to line up all their ducks for IE's retirement, such as identifying sites that rely on the legacy browser and testing that IE mode within the Chromium Edge browser works as expected.
