Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday said China is ready to work with the Arab side to put in place "five cooperation frameworks" to step up the building of a China-Arab community with a shared future.

中国国家主席习近平30日表示，中方愿同阿方构建“五大合作格局”，推动中阿命运共同体建设跑出加速度。

Xi made the remarks as he delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the 10th ministerial conference of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum.

国家主席习近平出席中阿合作论坛第十届部长级会议开幕式并发表主旨讲话。

At the first China-Arab States Summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in December 2022, Xi put forward "eight major cooperation initiatives" for practical cooperation.

2022年12月，在沙特阿拉伯利雅得举办的首届中阿峰会期间，习近平提出推进中阿务实合作“八大共同行动”。

Early harvests have been achieved in all the "eight major cooperation initiatives," Xi said, adding that, moving forward, China is ready to work with the Arab side on that basis to put in place "five cooperation frameworks" to step up the building of a China-Arab community with a shared future.

习近平指出，“八大共同行动”取得重要早期收获。中方愿以此为基础，同阿方构建“五大合作格局”，推动中阿命运共同体建设跑出加速度。

The five frameworks consist of a more dynamic framework for innovation, an expanded framework for investment and finance cooperation, a more multifaceted framework for energy cooperation, a more balanced framework for mutually beneficial economic and trade ties, and a broader framework for people-to-people exchanges.

“五大合作格局”包括更富活力的创新驱动格局、更具规模的投资金融格局、更加立体的能源合作格局、更加立体的能源合作格局、更广维度的人文交流格局。

A jury in New York on Thursday found former U.S. President Donald Trump guilty on all charges in the hush money case.

Trump was found guilty of all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in a bid to hide hush money payment of 130,000 U.S. dollars to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016, shortly before the presidential election.

Sun Yang ready to swim after ban

China's three-time Olympic swimming champion Sun Yang has decided to return to competitions and continue his swimming career now that his 51-month ban has ended, according to The Paper on Tuesday.

据澎湃新闻5月28日报道，曾获得3枚奥运金牌的中国游泳运动员孙杨在结束51个月的禁赛后，决定重返赛场，重新开启竞技生涯。

The 32-year-old said he never ceased training during the past four years and wanted to keep his passion alive to open up a new chapter in his professional career.

Sun became the first athlete from the Chinese mainland to win an Olympic gold in men's swimming in 2012 after he clinched the 400m freestyle and 1500m freestyle titles in the London Olympic Games. He went on to win gold in the 200m freestyle in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, becoming the most decorated Chinese swimmer in history with his 11 world championships titles.

Fans will be seeing purple at the Olympics when athletes try to set records at this summer’s Paris Games. In a move away from a more traditional red-brick clay color, an Olympic track is going purple for the first time.
