China's Shenzhou-16 astronauts return safely to Earth

The Shenzhou-16 crew consisting of three Chinese astronauts returned to Earth safely on Tuesday, after completing a five-month space station mission.

10月31日，神舟十六号航天员乘组三名航天员在空间站完成五个月的任务后，安全返回地球。

Shenzhou-16's return capsule, carrying astronauts Jing Haipeng, Zhu Yangzhu and Gui Haichao, touched down at the Dongfeng landing site in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region at 8:11 a.m. (Beijing Time), and the crew had all left the return capsule by 9:10 a.m., according to the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA).

据中国载人航天工程办公室消息，北京时间8时11分，神舟十六号载人飞船返回舱在内蒙古东风着陆场成功着陆。9时10分，乘组航天员景海鹏、朱杨柱、桂海潮全部安全顺利出舱。

The Shenzhou-16 astronauts are in good health and the Shenzhou-16 manned mission proved a success, while also marking that all three kinds of astronauts currently available in China, namely spacecraft pilot, spaceflight engineer and payload expert, had completed their flight assessments and practical tests, the CMSA said.

航天员身体健康状况良好，神舟十六号载人飞行任务取得圆满成功，标志着我国现有3种类型航天员（航天驾驶员、航天飞行工程师、载荷专家）均已完成飞行考核和实践检验。

This mission has laid a good foundation for the subsequent development and construction of the crewed spaceflight program and large-scale space science experiments, the CMSA added.

此次任务为工程后续发展建设和大规模开展空间科学实（试）验打下良好基础。

The Closing Ceremony for the 4th Asian Para Games took place on 28th October and signalled the end to six days of competitions that saw 3020 athletes compete in 502 medal events.

杭州第4届亚残运会于10月28日晚落下帷幕，标志着为期6天的比赛结束。此次亚残运会共有3020名运动员参赛，设置了502个比赛项目。

Speaking at the ceremony, President of the Asian Paralympic Committee Majid Rashed declared that the Games had surpassed his expectations and taken the Asian Paralympic Movement to a new level.

After lowering the APC flag and playing the APC anthem, Hangzhou mayor Yao Gaoyuan handed over the flag to Rashed, who entrusted it to Hideaki Ohmura, governor of Aichi prefecture and Hideo Nakata, deputy mayor of Nagoya, the host city of the 2026 Asian Para Games.

The 10th Beijing Xiangshan Forum concluded Tuesday in Beijing.

第十届北京香山论坛31日在北京闭幕。

The two-day forum was attended by more than 1,800 people, including 99 official delegations, defense ministers from 19 countries, as well as military chiefs, international organization representatives, experts, scholars and observers of various countries.

论坛为期两天，共有99个官方代表团、19国国防部长，以及军队总长（国防军司令）、国际组织代表、专家学者和各国观察员等1800余名嘉宾出席。

The theme for this year's forum was "Common Security, Lasting Peace." Participants engaged in discussions and exchanges concerning an array of topics, such as major countries' responsibility and global security cooperation, the role of developing countries in global security, Asia-Pacific security architecture, as well as regional security and development.

本届论坛的主题是“共同安全、持久和平”，与会代表围绕“大国责任与全球安全合作”“发展中国家在全球安全中的作用”“亚太安全架构：现状与未来”“地区安全与发展：路径与目标”等议题展开探讨与交流。

The World Youth Development Forum opened in Beijing on Monday, with 100 projects related to the global youth development action plan released.

10月30日，2023年世界青年发展论坛在京开幕。论坛期间展示了与全球青年发展行动计划相关的100个典型项目。

The cooperation projects, which were selected from 43 countries around the globe, center on topics such as food security, digital technology application, and poverty and hunger elimination, according to the forum's organizer.

据论坛组织者介绍，这些合作项目是从全球43个国家中选出的，重点关注粮食安全、数字技术应用、消除贫困和饥饿等主题。

Approximately 2,000 youth representatives from China and abroad attended the forum online or on-site. The event is themed "Youth Strength for Solidarity and Innovation: Striving Together for Sustainable Development."
